There’s this misconception that a lab can be handled and owned only by big corporations with big bucks. The reality is that what really makes the difference in terms of innovation is not how much money you pour in R&D but what people you have and how much you get it. We’re a very small startup, hence every single buck for us counts. Nonetheless we have the right people, the right partners and we’re bold enough to aim for the big shots. History will tell the rest.
- A brick pizza oven that can be operated in a small space with little wood.
- A device that drammatically helps the online shopper to select clothes that match and fit.
As projects reach the stage of funding from VCs or Angels they are introduced to the markets we will add more information in the "graduated" page.
Graduated in March 2010 - iHold4U is property of Kywix Corporation, which holds the rights worldwide. iPods and iPhones are extremely popular across all ages, in the last 4 years the consumption of videos has become a major factor for consumer in buying the right Apple mobile media device that fits their needs.
These devices are extremely popular because they’re very well designed, they allow the playing of multimedia content and they’ve modest dimensions. The last is Damocles’ sword because in particular for travelers, holding the device isn’t an easy task to do without covering part of the screen or frequently swap the hand that holds it because of the fatigue/tension rises quickly.
Travelers are not the only ones affected, there’re many other categories like “the lunchers” workers that are taking their break and they try to catch up on news or community updates with applications like YouTube, Facebook and New York Times type of applications. In most cases these people have their hands mostly busy and often, based on our research, messed with mayo or mustard that makes the holding of the device even more challenging. Kywix has developed a solution that solves the problem above described.
It’s iHold4U.
iHold4U is an inflatable device that allows to protect and store the iPod, Touch iPad or iPhone at a 45 angle degree, adjustable. The stand is easy store away; it’s adjustable through its valve and allows easy access to the connection outlets. At the bottom of the stand there’re grips to keep the device still. Particularly useful when the plane gets shaky or although we don’t condone it, for drivers that want to place the device on the car dashboard. So they can watch a movie or video news as they need.
The original prototype of the idea.
